"Yearning for the Light" is a study into the reflection of artificial light on snow and other surfaces. This interest came after noticing the beautiful contrast between the artificial light finding its way around the uneven texture of the snow and walls and the darkness surrounding it. The places with the most details and information is where there is light, leaving the other parts of the context, which are darker, allows the viewer to explore the entire scene. The title of this project comes from the fact that the areas that are lit up become a resting space for the viewer's eyes while they are exploring the rest of the image. This series is Patrick's first exploration into night photography, working with harsher contrast than in previously created ones. The series consists of 9 digital images.
